  • Plasterboard for Timber, steel or masonry substructures
  • Curved walls, arches, ceiling and feature panels
  • Lining of wet areas in bathrooms, shower recesses, laundries and toilets
  • Plasterboard Partition wall and ceiling systems with fire-resistance ratings eg. lift shafts
  • Sound absorptive perforated plasterboard for high-performance acoustic wall and
  • Plasterboard Ceiling systems eg. lecture theatres, cinemas and auditoriums.

Plasterboard sheets are available with square edges, bevelled edges and recessed edges to enable flush jointing before painting. Gyprock Plus is made in Australia and accredited to Australian Standard AS2588 through SAI Global. It is made up of a gypsum plaster core that is wrapped in heavy-duty linerboard paper with bonded edges. This plasterboard is manufactured with Optimised Core technology and a stronger, thicker, buff coloured face paper. Optimised Core plasterboard has an advanced performance-to-weight ratio, meaning greater breaking strength in a substantially lighter board that continues to exceed the performance requirements of Australian Standard AS2588.

Gyprock Aquachek's core, face and back are treated to make it resistant to moisture and humidity without compromising integrity. It is specifically designed for use as a lining in wet areas of residential or commercial buildings. Because Aquachek is not subject to moisture movement and has extremely low water absorption characteristics, it provides an excellent, stable substrate for ceramic tiles. Gyprock Aquachek is manufactured in Australia to Australian Standard AS2588 and the heavy-duty face paper is a blue colour.Gyprock Aquachek is available in 10mm and 13mm thicknesses and in 1200mm and 1350mm widths. The long edges are recessed for flush jointing.

Gyprock Fyrchek is part of Gyprock’s Commercial Select range of plasterboards. It is a fire and acoustic grade board with a specially processed glass fibre-reinforced gypsum core for use in fire rated wall and ceiling systems and where improved acoustic performance is required. Gyprock Fyrchek is not suitable where it would be in contact with water or a constant relative humidity above 90%. For wet areas, the following products would be more suitable:

  • Gyprock Fyrchek™ MR
  • Gyprock EC08™ Impact MR
  • Gyprock EC08™ Complete

Gyprock Fyrchek is manufactured in Australia to Australian Standard AS2588 and the heavy-duty face paper is a pink colour. Gyprock Fyrchek is available in in 13mm and 16mm thickness in 1200mm wide panels of various standard lengths from 2400mm to 3600mm. The long edges are recessed for flush jointing.

Gyprock Soundchek is a high density gypsum plasterboard with increased noise absorption properties for residential and commercial walls and ceilings where superior acoustic resistance is required. Soundchek provides effective airborne noise and impact noise insulation. Higher levels of noise control can be achieved by including bulk acoustic insulation in the Soundchek wall cavity. For extreme noise situations where a high degree of impact noise or low frequencies is an issue, Gyprock recommends acoustic systems where the plasterboard is mounted to resilient mounts. This type of system provides effective separation between the wall surface and the frame which dramatically reduces noise that would normally be transmitted. The dense core of Gyprock Soundchek also gives it a higher level of soft and hard body impact resistance.Gyprock Soundchek is manufactured in Australia to Australian Standard AS2588 and the heavy-duty face paper is a yellow colour. Gyprock Soundchek is available in 10mm and 13mm thicknesses and in 1350mm and 1200mm sheet widths respectively. The long edges are recessed for flush jointing.

Gyprock Shaft Liner panels are 25mm thick sheets with a glass fibre reinforced gypsum core encased in a heavy duty linerboard. These panels are fire grade with exceptional acoustic insulation properties and are used in Gyprock commercial wall and ceiling systems where a high fire rating or high acoustic performance is specified. Gyprock Shaft Liner panels are manufactured in Australia to Australian Standard AS2588 and the heavy-duty face paper is a buff colour. Gyprock Shaft Liner Panels are manufactured to a 25mm thickness in 600mm wide panels that are 3000mm long.
